Describing this Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Dip as addicting is an understatement! So yummy served with graham crackers, apples, or pretzels.
Every year, as the weather changes into fall and winter, I crave this Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Dip. Something about all the warm and sweet flavors is so comforting. I will warn you though. This stuff is ADDICTING!!! Once you start eating, it’s so hard to stop. Trust me… I know from personal experience.
One caveat: if you don’t like cream-cheese based dips, you may not like this one.
I was introduced to this recipe from a former coworker. She brought it into the office as a treat to share, and I didn’t even wait to finish chewing before asking her for the recipe. (It’s that good, guys.) This recipe is originally from Jamie Cooks It Up, and I adapted the recipe you’ll find below.
This dip is an easy dessert that comes together in minutes. It is perfect for a last-minute dinner or a potluck. Serve this sweet dip with graham crackers, apples, or pretzels.
Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Dip Ingredients
For this Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Dip, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Cream Cheese
- Powdered Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Maple Syrup
- Vanilla Extract
- Ground Cinnamon
- Salt
- Whipped Cream Topping
To make this fast, you can use store-bought Cool Whip. But to take this dip to another level, take a few extra minutes to make your own homemade whipped cream. I’ll provide instructions a little later in the post if you want to make your own.
Finally, I highly recommend serving it with fresh apple slices, graham crackers (or Teddy Grahams), and salted pretzels. Each one of these dippers is different from the others, but they are all delicious. I don’t think I can pick a favorite dipper. And, I miss one of them when they aren’t used!
Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Dip Equipment
Whenever I make cream cheese-based dips, I use a Hand Mixer or Stand Mixer to whip the cream cheese. This helps give it an airy texture, and it makes it easier to combine with the other ingredients.
If I’m being honest, I almost always use my hand mixer since it’s easier to clean and move around than my stand mixer. But feel free to use whatever you have.
For this recipe, I also recommend using a tall mixing bowl. This help prevent splatter when using a hand mixer.
Other than that, you don’t need a lot of equipment. The only other thing you might need is a cutting board and a knife to cut up some fresh apple slices.

Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Dip Prep Tips
Cream Cheese Preparation
For the best tasting dip, start with softened cream cheese. If your cream cheese is not softened, you may end up with a lumpy dip.
On average, it takes about 30 minutes for cream cheese to soften and come to room temperature. So, be sure to pull your cream cheese out of the fridge 30-60 minutes before you plan to make it.
TIP: To soften cream cheese faster, cut it into 1″ (or smaller) cubes. The greater surface area should allow it to soften faster. If you are in a rush, you can also remove the cream cheese from the foil wrapper, and microwave the cream cheese for 15 seconds. Although, try to avoid microwaving the cream cheese if you can.
Whipped Cream Preparation
As mentioned above, this dip tastes even better with homemade whipped cream. To make your own, start with a half cup of heavy whipping cream. Next, you’ll need a clean dry bowl. Add the heavy whipping cream to the bowl. Then, using clean beaters (from the hand mixer), whip the cream until stiff peaks form. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
If you want a sweeter whipped cream, you can add two tablespoons of powdered sugar and a dash of vanilla extract to the heavy whipping cream before you mix it.
Whether you use Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream, be sure to keep it airy when you use it. To do this, gently fold it in to the dip with a spatula after you’ve already mixed the other ingredients. If you mix it using the hand mixer, it can fall flat. It will still taste delicious, but it won’t be as light as airy unless you gently mix it in.
