Carino’s Chicken Bowtie Festival Copycat Pasta in Bowl with Fork

Ever popular, Carino’s Chicken Bowtie Festival is a flavorful and easy pasta dish made with sauteed chicken, bacon, and a creamy, cheesy tomato sauce.

Whenever I think of Italian food, my brain automatically goes to pasta. Without a doubt, it’s my favorite kind of Italian food. One of my favorite Italian pasta dishes comes from Johnny Carino’s Italian Restaurant, and it’s called Grilled Chicken Bowtie Festival.

My copycat version of Carino’s Chicken Bowtie Festival is made by combining bow tie pasta with chicken, bacon, garlic, red onions, tomatoes in an Asiago cream sauce. Instead of only using marinara sauce or Alfredo sauce, you get the best of both worlds with the cream sauce and the fresh tomatoes.

To be honest, I’m not sure why Carino’s calls it a “festival”. If I had to guess, I think it’s because it’s a beautiful white dish with pops of red throughout (from the bacon, tomatoes, and red onion). It’s really stunning when it comes to the table.

Now, there’s no need to go out when you can make this copycat favorite at home! It’s full of flavor and does not need any special ingredients. It’s absolutely perfect for dinner any night of the week!

Air Fryer Apple Crisp (Single-Serving)

Air Fryer Apple Crisp

You’re only 20 minutes away from a single-serving Air Fryer Apple Crisp! Top with ice cream and caramel for the perfect cozy fall dessert for one, or two!

Single-serving desserts are great because the smaller size prevents me from overindulging. So, what could be better than a single-serving apple crisp? One that’s made in the air fryer!

When given the choice between apple pie and apple crisp, the apple crisp is always the clear winner for me. I’ll always take that sweet, crispy, oatmeal topping over pie crust any day!

I love this Air Fryer Apple Crisp because it cooks faster than a conventional oven, and the topping is still crispy! Plus, no need to mess with a pie crust! This recipe only takes 20 minutes, start to finish, and it can be made with pantry ingredients! It’s perfect for a cozy fall day for two (or one if you don’t feel like sharing).

These Double Chocolate Banana Muffins are moist and fluffy with perfect crackly tops. Made in only one bowl, these are the best homemade chocolate muffins!

Get ready for the best chocolate muffins recipe! Just so you know, I do not use the word “best” lightly. When I say something is the “best”, I truly believe it. These Double Chocolate Banana Muffins are perfect.

Specifically, texture is out of this world! The exterior of the muffins is crackly while the interior is perfectly moist. These are not dry or gummy. Plus, the chocolate flavor really shines. You won’t find muted chocolate flavor in these muffins! In fact, it has two kinds of chocolate.

Full credit for this recipe goes to Tracy at Baking Mischief. She really knows her stuff! Recently, I have been scouring her site and drooling over all her yummy recipes. Most of her recipes are small-batch recipes for one or two people which I love!

I adapted Tracy’s muffin recipe by doubling the ingredients to make 12 muffins instead of 5. I also modified the ingredients slightly. If you want to make my recipe as is, you can. Or you can still cut it in half to make a smaller batch of muffins.

7Up Pound Cake

In this elevated classic recipe for 7UP Pound Cake, the lemon and lime flavors really shine through! Includes a moist, crumbly cake and yummy citrus glaze.

The first time my mom brought home a 7UP cake from the grocery store, she was hooked. Because my mom loved it so much, our family continued eating this cake for weeks! Of course, it wasn’t the same cake. Rather, my mom kept bringing them home!

7UP Pound Cake is a classic recipe that’s been around for years. When making the cake, 7UP soda is added directly to the batter. Adding the soda really gives this cake a great texture and flavor.

When Cook’s Country came out with a recipe for an elevating the classic 7UP Pound cake, I knew I had to make it for my mom. In fact, I made it for her for Mother’s day this year. She loved it!

So, my recipe is slightly adapted from the version from Cook’s Country. It’s packed with bright lime and lemon citrus flavors. Plus, it’s not too dense or heavy. It’s the perfect refreshing dessert!

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies Stacked

Combine peanut butter cups and peanut butter cookies to make Peanut Butter Cup Cookies! An easy and delicious bite-sized chocolate peanut butter dessert!

These peanut butter cup cookies are soft, chewy, and irresistibly good! Both the chocolate and peanut butter are such a classic combination that you can’t get enough of. Because they are mini, they are easy to pop in your mouth. Although, that’s also a struggle because it’s hard to stop at eating just one!

As a matter of fact, this recipe has been popular for years. I’m not sure where this recipe originated, but Reese’s has a similar recipe on the back of their packaging.

These cookies are easily shared and taken to potlucks or other gatherings. Perfect for bake sales too!

Finished Homemade Dog Training Treats

Yesterday (March 23rd) was National Puppy Day! This day was established by Colleen Paige in 2006.

National Puppy Day is a special day to celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives. But more importantly, it’s a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills.

– Colleen Page, www.nationalpuppyday.com

My husband and I recently welcomed a new puppy into our home! We have a 3 1/2 year old Bernese Mountain dog named, Snugglepumpkin (Snugs for short), and we felt it was time for her to have a sister. Orla was born on January 9, 2019, and she came home with us on March 1, 2019.

Snugs and Orla (March 2019)

If you are here, I’m sure you know how fun AND difficult it can be to train a new puppy. Everything is a brand new experience for them, and they are continually learning!

When 1 1/2 year old Snugs came home with us, it took us about 4 months to fully train her. Unsurprisingly, we are still in the process of training Orla. Thankfully, she has potty training down!

Buying training treats all the time can be very expensive, and many of the ingredients used in the treats are not very wholesome or “natural”. In an effort to save money, and to feed our girls a more healthy treat, I set out to make my own homemade dog treats.
