To make it, roll light and fluffy pieces of dough in melted butter and cinnamon sugar. Then, the layer the pieces in a slow cooker and bake. After it’s cooked, top it with homemade cream cheese frosting! Yum!

Quick and Easy Air Fryer Turnovers (Apple)

Make quick and easy flaky, crispy, and gooey air fryer turnovers at home using any pie filling or additional add-ins (like nuts or Nutella)!

Confession: my husband and I have a serious addiction to Arby’s! We seriously can’t get enough! With our meal, each of us will get a turnover as a snack for later. Jonny’s turnover of choice is the apple turnover and mine is the cherry turnover. Here’s the thing though… I don’t like fruit pies. But, there’s something about those turnovers that have my heart. I think I like them so much more because they are not made with traditional pie crusts.

Since our addiction is reaching ridiculous proportions, I attempted to make the turnovers at home. I am so happy with how they turned out! To make a basic turnover, you really only need two ingredients (pie filling and pastry dough). Below, I explain how to make apple turnovers, but you can use this recipe with any pie filling or additional add-ins (like nuts or the Nutella I used in a few turnovers)!
