Pineapple Water (Agua de Pina)
Make sweet, refreshing, and delicious Pineapple Water (or Agua de Pina) at home by simply blending fresh pineapple with water and sweetening with sugar.
Servings: 12 Cups
- 1 small Fresh Pineapple Skinned, Cored, and Cut into Chunks
- 1-2 cups Granulated Sugar (depending on preferred sweetness)
- 8 cups Water Divided
Add the prepared pineapple* and 2 cups of water into a blender. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes until there are no chunks of pineapple remaining.
Add an additional 2 cups of water to the blender and continue blending for another minute.**
Optional: To remove any fibrous pulp, strain liquid through a fine mesh sieve. If desired, repeat to ensure most of the pulp is removed.
Transfer pineapple water to a pitcher, and add additional 4 cups of water. Add 1/2 cup of sugar at a time until water is at desired sweetness.
Chill until very cold, and serve over ice. Enjoy!
