Cherry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 15.25 oz Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Mix (1 box)
  • 42 oz Cherry Pie Filling (2 cans 21 oz each)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted (1 stick)

Instructions

General Preparation

  • Spray the inside of a slow cooker or 9″ x 13″ baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Add the cherry pie filling to the bottom of the slow cooker or baking dish. Spread pie filling into an even layer.
  • Cut the cream cheese into 1/2 inch pieces, and evenly distribute the cream cheese on top of the pie filling.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine melted butter and cake mix until crumbly (about the size of a pea or smaller).
  • Evenly distribute cake mix on top of the cream cheese and pie filling.

Oven Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Bake prepared dump cake for 35-40 minutes, or until sides are hot and bubbly.

Slow Cooker Instructions

  • To absorb excess moisture, place a clean kitchen towel underneath the slow cooker lid.
  • Cook prepared dump cake on HIGH for 2 hours, or LOW for 4 hours.
  • If desired, add the dump cake to an broiler-safe dish, and heat under the broiler for 2-3 minutes to crisp the top of the cake.
