Salsa Verde Chicken Flautas or Taquitos with Fresh Guacamole

Using prepared Salsa Verde Chicken makes these take less than 10 minutes to put together, and they cook in less than 15 minutes. While cooking, make fresh guacamole to serve on top!

Salsa Verde Chicken Flautas

  • 1 recipe Slow Cooker Salsa Verde Chicken
  • 8, 8 in Tortillas Flour or Corn


  • 3 large Avocados
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Salsa
  • 1/2 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste


Salsa Verde Chicken Flauta Preparation

  • Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel or cloth and microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Divide salsa verde chicken evenly on each tortilla, and roll tortilla up on one side. 
  • Spray air fryer with cooking spray, and add rolled flautas into air fryer. Spray tops of flautas with cooking spray and sprinkle the tops of the flautas with salt. 
  • Air fry at 400 degrees for 12 minutes, flipping flautas half way through.*

Guacamole Preparation

  • Wash the outside of the avocado skin with water to remove any dirt or bacteria.
  • Using a sharp knife, slice avocados in half and carefully remove the pit. 
  • Scoop out the avocado flesh from the skin and place in a medium-sized mixing bowl, and mash the avocado with a fork until smooth. 
  • Add sour cream, salsa, onion powder, garlic powder, and seasoned salt, and mix until combined. Add salt and pepper to taste. 
  • Serve immediately.


*Alternatively, flautas can be baked in the oven on a rimmed baking sheet at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
