Air Fryer Apple Turnovers
Make quick and easy flaky, crispy, and gooey turnovers at home using any pie filling or additional add-ins (like nuts or Nutella)!

- 13.2 oz Refrigerated Puff Pastry Sheet (such as Wewalka)
- 10 oz Apple Pie Filling
- 1 Egg White
- Nutella (optional)
- 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar (optional)
- 2-4 tbsp Milk (optional
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)
Apple Turnover
Unroll pastry dough, and cut dough into 8 even squares.
Add a few slices of fruit to one half of each pastry square leaving 1/4 inch border around the dough edges.
If desired, add a spoonful of Nutella on top of fruit.
Fold the empty half of the pastry over the half with the fruit, and brush the edges with egg wash.
Using a fork, firmly crimp the edges of the pastry closed. Poke 4-8 holes in the top of the pastry.
Brush the top of the pastry with the egg white.
Spray Air Fryer basket with cooking spray, and cook the pastries for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.*
Flip pastries, and continue cooking for 5 minutes at 390 degrees.
Icing Drizzle
In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and 2 Tbsp of milk. Mix well. If needed add additional 1-2 tbsp of milk until smooth and thick consistency is reached.
Add icing into a piping bag or a plastic baggie, and snip a 1/4" off of one corner of the bag.
Drizzle icing over warm turnovers and serve!

*If you do not have an air fryer, these can also be baked on an ungreased baking sheet at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes.
Pastry will lose crunch if not eaten right away. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
